William Campbell, Born October 30, 1926, Newark, New Jersey, U.S.
Died April 29, 2011 (aged 84) Woodland Hills, California, U.S
Campbell, who had memorable turns in Corman's "Bloodbath" and "Dementia 13", and with Bette Davis in "Hush, Hush Sweet Charlotte", not to mention on Star Trek TOS as Klingon captain Koloth and an overgrown spoiled brat named Trelane who torments the Enterprise crew before being scolded by his invisible parents, as well as appearing with Elvis Presley in his screen debut "Love Me Tender" (you know I have to throw that one in) died today at the Motion Picture Home in Woodland Hills, California.
He could chew the scenery with the best of them, but he wasn't limited to that by any means. An interesting actor whose career never mirrored his talent. Interestingly, he was once married to Judith Exener, a woman who was simultaneously sharing beds with mob boss Sam Giancana as well as JFK.
RIP.

I certainly remember him - you mentioned HUSH HUSH SWEET CHARLOTTE - he played the photographer/newspaper guy, didn't he? Kinda reminded me of a younger Victor Mature.

Oh no... I was just watching Hush... Hush, Sweet Charlotte the other night and although he was only in it for about 5 minutes, it's always nice seeing him. And the Squire of Gothos episode was on last week too, which is my favourite role of his (apart from maybe Dementia 13)
He will be missed.

Ah, the Squire of Gothos! Gosh, wasn't he also in a Wild Wild West episode? Sorry to hear of his passing.
