Wolf Man models (Aurora, Polar Lights, etc)
« on: May 10, 2008, 03:54:44 PM »
Just finished having my spousal unit put the finishing touches on the Wolfman...I'd love to see what other UMA members have done with this (or any other model)...

I went a little crazy with the dry brushing on this one.  Actually I do that on all my models.

My old Aurora--well over 30 years of age--I used oil paints back then.  In these days, when I make a model, it's acrylics all the time, though.

These are mine, Polar Lights and "Aurora" (actually a Luminator), side by each.

The Wolf Man with the big tree in front of him was made many years after the Luminator series.  I believe the original Luminators included Frankenstein, Dracula, Wolf Man, Mummy, King Kong and Phantom of the Opera.

HoD - the traditional WM is very nice, but the tribute kit is especially nice - you did a good job bringing in the colors from the painting without going overboard. I especially like the close up photo with him looking straight...at...us!

Your kit says Wolf Man, but his face says Curse Of The Werewolf.

Your kit says Wolf Man, but his face says Curse Of The Werewolf.

That's because it's identical to the original Aurora Box Art, right down to Mike's amazing paint job.
