A Celebration Of 50 Years Of Hammer Horror Films

Saturday, December 15th - 6PM to 11PM (*at*) Lone Star Comics
(504 East Abrams Street, Arlington, TX, 76010)

Screenings Of Curse Of Frankenstein, Horror Of Dracula, and The Mummy - All three films feature screen legends Christopher Lee (Lord Of The Rings, Star Wars, etc) and Peter Cushing (Star Wars, Dr. Who, Sherlock Holmes) in their most well-known roles.

Large selection of comics, toys, and collectibles to buy from Lone Star Comics.

Silent Auction featuring autographed 8x10's from Dave Prowse (Frankenstein & The Monster From Hell, Horror Of Frankenstein, and Star Wars) and Yutte Stensgaard (Lust For A Vampire).

We are happy to have another talent joining us for the upcoming event. Jason Henderson has published five novels and two best-selling computer games. He's currently the writer on a slew of modern horror and adventure comics-- the commandos-versus-vampires comic SWORD OF DRACULA (Digital Webbing,), VAMPIRELLA, the witchcraft romance SYLVIA FAUST (Image), the ghostly horror mystery SOULCATCHER (Digital Webbing/ ALIAS) and the upcoming manga PSY-COMM from Tokyopop, co-written with Spongebob Squarepants PS2 lead animator Tony Salvaggio. He also just had a story published in the October issue of GENE SIMMONS HOUSE OF HORRORS comic series. His new novel, THE DARKLING BAND, is available from Dragon Moon Press. He will be doing an autograph signing of Sword Of Dracula artwork, Issue #2 of Gene Simmons House Of Horrors, and his other work. His website is at http://www.jasonhenderson.com/.

We are very excited to announce that James O'Barr, the creator and artist of The Crow, will be joining us for our event. James is legendary in the comic world and we are proud to have him as a guest.

We have Kristofer Straub, who is the creator of webcomics Starslip Crisis, Checkerboard Nightmare, Time Friends, Origin Story, and co-founder of webcomics collective Black Label Comics. He also co-developed "Blamimation" animations for comic strip PvP, and is the voice of Brent Sienna therein. We are very proud to have him coming out for the event. Eddie Medina from Atonement Studios is the artist and creator of Stick To The Shadows and Buford The Duckling, and Ruckus. He also did the art for The Monster Mash - Universal Monster Fest and the Star Wars 30th Anniversary Celebration. Admission is one canned good per person to be donated to Mission Arlington's Food Donations.

Lar Park Lincoln (Friday The 13th, Part VII - The New Blood, House 2: The Second Story, Knots Landing, Beverly Hills 90210, etc.) has generously donated an autographed 18x24 color poster of herself holding the burned mask of Jason Vorhees. We would just like to say thanks for this welcome addition to our Silent Auction and hope that it helps raise money for the needy in this holiday season.

Edwin Neal (Texas Chainsaw Massacre, several Power Rangers seasons, Future-Kill, Gatchaman, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, etc.) has generously donated a couple items to our Silent Auction. More info to come on what the items will be. We would like to say a big thank you to him. All money from the Silent Auction goes to Mission Arlington to help those in need at this holiday time.
