Hepcat:
Did you once collect comics? Do you still collect comics? Well then tell us about them!

I'll start with a few scans from my collection of Flash comics:

I presume you sent them off to Heritage Auctions. Can you list some of the items you put up for bids?

 ???

Opera Ghost:
As a kid, colelcted mostly Batman and Flash titles, Justice league, Teen Titans some Superman and Dark Shadows. Lost all but two to a kid next door who had broken his leg and I loaned my collection to him--when I return from camp--they had moved away!

Have since acquired some Batman titles, Superman, Captain Action old and new, Star Wars, Green Hornet and I thinks some Star Trek

zombiehorror:
I had a pretty good sized collection, mostly super-hero; some 70', alot of 80's-90's, but sold them (what I could) all on Ebay!  The only one's I kept were the horror related stuff I had~

I also have several issues of The Munsters that I acquired off Ebay!  These are the only two I have pics off but I'm pretty sure I have about 4!?

I still have all the pictures of my other comics that I took for the Ebay auctions, I just couldn't delete them...sigh!

monsterphile:
I used to collect comics up to about 15 years or so ago.  The new ones were getting too expensive and I just wasn't able to really afford the hobby much either.  I sold a lot of stuff on Ebay to pay bills and such years ago.  I still have a lot of the filler issues, but the in selling, I cherrypicked all of the best stufff out.  I used to like to look for odd stuff, first appearances of characters, and early works by artists.  I had all 6 of the Marvel Mini Books (tiny little ones from 1966) and each one in all six colors.

I had the Wham-O Giant comic (1968?) that was supposedly the largest comic ever printed.

I had a mintiest mint copy of Incredible Hulk 181 (1st full appearance of Wolverine) that I wished I had waited a couple of years to sell because I could have gotten thousands of dollars for it, especially if I had sent it off that grading system that they do now.
I had a Fantastic Four 48 (1st app. of the Silver Surfer) that had a double cover.

I had some neat foreign comics, promotional items, and some toys and posters and such.  They literally went to people all over the world.  The pictures above aren't mine, just ones I found online.

Saddest of all was that when I was collecting, I sold a decent copy of Famous Monsters #1 at a convention to get money to buy comics.  I wish I hadn't now, of course.

"Regrets, I've had a few..."
