Left my tutu hung on the mounted jackalope head at home and checked out TRU again.  Still no UniMonster goodness but I did pick up the Twilight Zone Jason Foster doll.  How friggin' cool is a skull-faced dude in his jammies??!?!  Had to have it.  Got home, proudly showed it to the wife.  Just shook her head.  I'll be needing MY jammies -- my flannel Dr. Dentons --that dog house is c-c-cold!!  G'night Mr. Serling, wherever you are...and thanks for nuthin'.

TRU finally came through!  Frankenstein and Wolfman were hanging on the pegs just awaitin' for me!   I tried dancing on the way to the car but I was still wearing my Dr. Dentons, so I tripped mid-pirouette and bruised my patella.  Small children in the parking lot pointed and laughed.

I found these at my local TRU today and I was blown away! Not only by the awesome figures, but also the packaging, as well as the built-in clamshell protective case. A pleasant surprise in terms of features for someone who likes to keep his toys MIMB. As soon as I saw them I said, "This is a real monster toy." I'm sure the rest of you feel the same way!

Kudos Diamond Select! Get crackin' on the next set!

Been so long since I'd seen a TRU store in the area didn't even know one was around. When I visited the comics shop to pick up my order the manager had a set waiting for me. Over the phone he'd mentioned a couple of MEGO style Universal Monsters & I had no idea what he was talking about. Since I usually get about anything Universal there guess he figured he'd do me a good turn. Sure happy I didn't miss them!  Golly, 2011 is a long time to wait for Series 2. Wish the designers would change their minds & do a Chaney Kharis instead of another Karloff Im-Ho-Tep. Would look much more dynamic. They already had a licensing agreement with Chaney entertainment on the back of the first two figures. Would also appreciate a Carradine Dracula. Any possibility of a Gill Man surfacing in 2012?

Most of the people at the shop got bent out of shape over the Diamond Select Mummy (with sarcophagus) since the lack of joints made it not qualify as an 'action' figure. I thought the coffin was way cool myself.

Gotta try & find some toy stores. They used to be all over the place but long gone here for the most part since the old Sideshow & Wrestling figure days.

First time I've been on the message board in forever. Merry Christmas everyone!

I went back to TRU thinking they for sure would have restocked a couple times...no Frank. No monsters. Clinging to hopes there was one on the wrong hook, I kept looking...and went into a trance. I suddenly realized I was staring emptily at a toy rack but my brain was somewhere else. I bid a fond adieu to the Bio Shock and Twilight Zone figures and busted a move to my little Suzuki. Perhaps next week.

There were none at the Anderson, SC location as of this afternoon, though they had Minimates and fake Megos in reasonable quantities
