New Sideshow Nosferatu sculpture
« on: October 31, 2010, 11:39:28 PM »
Sideshow has just posted a new 18" Nosferatu sculpture. It sells for $234.99 and has an exclusive edition with an extra head with hat. Looks pretty decent but the face sculpt seems a little off. Does anybody else feel the same way or am I being too picky? I mean, they've already done a great Nosferatu 18". Does this one add anything that was missing from the first one (aside from the sexy hat)?

I personally like this figure by Sideshow.  In answer to your question, the new ingredient is the artists use of contrapposto. (Contrapposto is when a figure stands with one leg holding its full weight and the other leg relaxed. This classic pose causes the figure’s hips and shoulders to rest at opposite angles, giving a slight s-curve to the entire torso.)  This figure has a better flow to the pose not to mention those scary long fingers.  I'm getting one!

Thanks,

John

I ordered it, hopefully they'll come out with some more horror type characters, especially from the silent era. I really do not want to see another dose of the same Universal characters either. I would love a fresh dose of characters that is out there.

I think I prefer the 12" figure to this version for some reason. I also prefer the silent screamers version as well.
