Bowla Lugosi

Jordan is in a Saturday morning bowling league, and last week they handed out old bowling pins for the kids to decorate with a Halloween motif, the winner getting some as yet undisclosed prize.

Well, Nancy immediately said we should make a Dracula bowling pin (don't you just love her?) instead of just chucking some stickers and stuff on the pin. Sounded good to Jordan and I, so we set out to create an homage to the classic Dracs (NOT ONE FREAKING SPARKLE was used in the process, of that you can be assured).

Jordan set about spray painting the pin flat black while I tried to figure out whether we should paint on his clothes or try to make some. We opted to make the clothing. After some trial and error we hit upon the wardrobe........simple, free, and decidedly Bela, using only 2 white cotton socks, one black dress sock, clippings off of one of Jordan's old Drac capes , some red ribbon and some upholstery nails. Then some white paint, a black and a blue Sharpie, and some red nail polish for the face paint.

So here, presented for your approval by UMA's own Jordan the MonsterKid.........Bela The Bowling Pin.

It's so artistic and wonderful Scatter!  You must be so proud of your monster family- from start to finish- Bowla Lugosi is one of the greatest Halloween projects I've ever seen!  And those eyes.........

Thanks General!! Yeah, it's hard to get a likeness on a bowling pin. It's hard to see, but below the fangs you'll see Bela's dimpled chin. That way UMAers will always recognize who it is!
