Were they with the toys or in the Halloween?

At my store, they were in toys, in action figures, alongside the Marvel minimates.

Just snagged three of the two-packs:

Wolfie/Talbot
Wolfie Transform/Creature Glow
BW Wolfie/Creature

My local comic store has me down for the other two sets when they land.....Thanks for the heads up on these....love the minimates!

PS and even more importantly, I got my son a set of the Wolfie/Talbot pack.  It is his first Universal Monster toy and he has already intergrated it with his Marvel Mini-Mates!

I was going to try TRU again tomorrow but I think I will wait for the 4 pack. Gotta have the Kay figure to have a complete set.

No Mini-Mates for me.  They didn't have them.

Got a Dr. Reed and Creature set, but had to have a friend in California (I am in Colorado) look for me.
It took my friend in California quite a bit of time to locate them in the store, even with the help of an employee to find them.  They are usually in the MArvel toy section, but not the MAIN Marvel toy section (which also has Minimates, but not the monster ones).  My son said it was the same for him when trying to find them when visiting my mom and dad's.

I will probably get the 4 pack of the Creature set....is there going to be one of the Wolfman with a Gwen Conliffe figure?

Heading to my local TRU today. I will update my mpls brethren of my results. These look like a whole lot of fun!

Well I called the two Toys r Us in my town. They do not even show them on there computer. I call Toys r Us.com direct, no one can find anything, Universal Monsters Mini mates in their system. ??? I even gave them the SKU number. Leave it to Toys r Us to be so totally disorganized.

My name is MINI-MYTE and I'm a collector of all things minimates. I found your forum and decided to share with you all that I know of the UM minimate series. Minimates are 2" block figures created by Diamond Select Toys. They are very appealing to collectors worldwide as they have (have had) a plethora of licenses which now include the Universal Monsters.

Diamond Select Toys (DST) plans to release 2 sets (4-packs) of UM minimates this time each year for the next few years. The 4-packs are intended for comicbook shops and e-tailers, while 2-packs are intended for purchase at Toys R Us' (in the USA only). Although most of the minimates will be the same for both comic book shop and TRUs, each will feature exclusives. The comic book shop / e-tailer 4-packs will feature an exclusive femme fatal minimate from the specific movie. The TRU 2-packs will feature an exclusive black & white pair of that year's monsters.

This year's monsters are the Wolfman & The Creature From the Black Lagoon.
The Wolfman 4-pack will include the Wolfman, transformation Wolfman, Lawrence Talbot and (exclusive) Gwen Conliffe.
The CFTBL 4-pack will feature the CFTBL, glow-in-the-dark CFTBL, Dr. David REED and (exclusive) Kay Lawrence.

The TRU 2-packs will include: Wolfman & Lawrence Talbot, CFTBL & Dr. David Reed, transformation Wolfman & Glow-in-the-dark CFTBL and (exclusive) B&W Wolfman and CFTBL.

Next year DST plans to release sets based on Dracula and Frankenstein. 4-packs will include the following: Dracula, Prof Van Helsing, Renfield and the exclusive Mina. The Frankenstein set will include the Monster, the Bride of Frankenstein, Dr. Henry Frankenstein and the exclusive Elizabeth. Future sets planned are the Mummy and the Invisible Man.
