Finished another one for a client. He found it at a swap meet and picked it up for cheap. It looked like this...

I was able to strip it and restore it and now it looks like this...

Behold the diaper of doom!!

Awesome work on that Jim! So much better than what the guy had before. He's gonna be jumping for joy!

Isn't it amazing how different a kit can look with the right paint job. Great work!

A few inches lower with that camera angle and it would have been an ''upskirt'' Colossal Beast shot! Seriously, you SAVED that kit. Wonderful work!!

Wouldn't that make an "updiaper" shot.  That is just wrong.  Seriously, great paint job and the outdoor photo really enhances it (is it outdoors? I'm not so sure now) At first glance I thought it was a color still photo from the actual movie! HaHa!

I have to admit, when I was scrolling down and saw the first image, I thought no way was that Jim Bertges work.  Then I kept going and saw that it was a restoration, no offense to the previous painter but there certainly is a dramatic difference between the two.  Fantastic as always Jim, great camera angle too.  Sure gives the immpression of his height in the movie.  I'd also like to see Earthbound Studios do a Big Head of the Collosal Beast.

As always Jim a fantastic job! As I said before folks,if you need something done right model wise Jim is your man!!!

Thanks everyone for the great comments. It was great fun to be able to restore this guy and improve his looks.

Now, about that diaper...well...you really have to get a low angle on the kit in order to give it that "Colossal" appearance. Imagine if you were a character in the movie observing him for real, that's about what you'd see and you'd be really grateful that he was wearing that diaper then.

Good thing the movie wasn't filmed in Scottland and he was wearing a kilt!
