Wow nice set! So Sungold obviously copied them, including the Freddy K., but added a Hunchback? The packaging is copied too.
Thanks DebS

Not neccesariy copied, a lot of toy concepts are created in China and marketed different ways in by companies all over the world. I've seen the same 12" Generic Soldiers in hundreds of different packages over the years.

Monolith

On that link did you notice the names on them?
The Freddy-looking figure is named "Sharp Hand Joe". That's funny.

Dr.Terror

I had a set of these at one time, sans Freddy.    Frank, wolf , and mummy all used modified Marx parts.   Frank was highly altered.   The Mummy and Wolfman ane the best of the bunch and hardly if modified at all.   and best of all their heads are squishy!!

Never saw the Timba cards before, they are awesome!!   Much cooler than the other IMO.   Interesting, these seem to have been sold in the UK and the US.     The set I had used the sungold art, but did not have Sungold printed anywhere on the card, I think it was blocked out.   or the CE sticker.

Morning, noon, or night, Anytime . . . . the count may strike. If you're caught you have to linger, Cause Dracula may bite your finger!

Funny that a German toy company, selling toys manufactured in China, uses an elephant for their logo and "Simba" (the Swahili word for lion) as their name.  "Tembo" means elephant.  Wonder what country these toys were marketed to.

The cards are printed in English.  Were they ever sold in the United States?

How did Freddie hoodwink his way into this set?
