Good for you CZ!! I know what it's like being chained to the house that way because someone is ill. You're more than happy to care for them, but it's so very nice to get out and have a little fun too!! God bless your mom, and God bless you for taking such good care of her.
I still hope to make the pilgrimage back up to NJ one weekend for a Chiller Expo. I haven't been since they moved it from the Meadowlands to Parsippany. I'd really like to get back up there before Zacherley passes on. Too many of Chiller's earliest guests are gone now: Jonathan Harris, Robert Quarry, Ingrid Pitt, to name just a few. Plus there's a lot of friends I miss seeing: Ted Bohus, Ed Bowkley, and my old college buddy, Jon "Animal" Zuchowski. But, I'm also hoping to make some new friends in Charlotte come March.

You may want to rethink going to Chiller if it is still in Parsippany. I went there about 2-3 years ago and it was way too packed. I got in just in time, because the fire marshall was turning people away on the ticket line because there were more people than floor space. I was hearing dealers openly complaining because it was impossible for more than a small percentage of people to actually reach the tables to buy anything.
Chiller desperately needs a full open-air tent venue. It's long outgrown a hotel to contain it.
The pre-Parsippany years were Chiller's golden age, and I'm glad you mentioned Jonathan Harris. He was the best Chiller guest I've ever met. He was in his final years, yet still a class-act and a perfect gentleman.

If I go back, it'd really be more to see old friends than anything else.

Yeah, I've heard it got insanely crowded the past few years, although I was told this past April and October were less crowded than in recent years.
