Crestwood Books?

I had vague memories of these monster books with b/w covers and orange spines but didn't know what they were called.  I knew I saw them in the school liberary. 

Good stuff.

I was surprised to see a complete orange and black first series set of these wonderful childhood books go for over $400 on Ebay today. Granted these looked to be in amazing condition and were not used library editions but still. I hope one of our own got them. The price jumped $200 in the last 10 seconds.
