Forgive me if someone already has a thread about this, but does anyone have the Shout Factory "Universal Horror Collection Vol 1"?
It has The Black Cat, The Raven, The Invisible Ray and Black Friday.
Wanted to know if this set was worth buying for the restorations alone.

It's worth it not just for the restorations of the films, but also the extras such as the documentaries on each film and the commentaries.

I already have two different DVD releases of this collection. Are the restorations that much better to warrant the high price tag? Since The Black Cat and The Raven are among my favorite Universal horror films, I'm willing to pay. I just want to make sure that the enhancement is worth it.

They are noticeable, especially on BLACK CAT, and the documentaries on the drama behind the scenes in the production of that film, as well as the docs on the other films in the collection, make it well-worth the upgrade.
