For the last 2-3 days, this site keeps crashing on me. Only this site, and on two different browsers. Is anyone else experiencing this?
Has it already been hacked?
-
It slows up on occasion for me. I think it has something to do with Pic heavy posts mixed with the animated backdrop.
-
Haven't seen as much as a hiccup here
-
It just started happening to me a few hrs ago, when using IE. I'm using Firefox, now and, so far, no problems.
-
I use Firefox and I've had no problems so far.
-
I'm using AOL and it's taking me two or three tries to log on to any specific page. I'll click on the link and get a "This Program Cannot Display This Page", then click the back button and it will go to the page. Frustrating, but a lesson in patience.

Guys. I'm having problems too. Currently looking into this situation. Stand by. Updates to follow.
-
FWIW I'm using Firefox as well. Best browser out there.
-
AOL has been a nightmare for me on this site.
IE hasn't been much better.
Maybe I'll try firefox.
-
I also Use Fire Fox and never have a problem.
-
Another Firefox user and not one single problem. It's all good!
-
Fire...bad.....
Firefox.....gooooood....
-
I'm running FF and no problems either, what I meant earlier was Scrolling problems on image heavy posts.
-
I'm using Safari. No problems yet.
-
The site isn't crashing, and hasn't been hacked. It's an issue with some browsers. It may take a bit to get worked out, especially with the holidays upon us, but it will get fixed.

Just to throw my 2 cents in...
I'm using IE and having "flashes" and longer wait times when loading pages. Almost like the site is unstable. But if Firefox, etc is fine, then it must be something in IE, no?

Richard-
Hi and Merry Christmas! I have been having problems with both IE and Firefox, and I'm also experiencing the "IE flash".
-
Hi guys. Thanks for sharing your experiences. The "flashes" when using IE is something that I too have noted. Not happening with Firefox nor Safari. This isn't to say that the site hasn't been acting up with Firefox too. It has; at my end anyways - just not with the flashes. I'm currently looking into the problems and I will get it fixed. Unfortunately, this can be much like looking for a needle in a haystack, and with Christmas now upon us, expendable free time is hard to come by. It will take some time, but it will get resolved. Hang in there, and keep me posted with your woes.

That's why it's a "soft opening", eh? ;D
-
I couldn't get the site loaded since yesterday, so I switched to Firefox and it is working fine so far.

Hi guys,
I've been lurking here for a while and have recently been having the same problem. I can't view the UMA forums from home in Internet Explorer but can view in Firefox.
I also tried viewing this at work (of course on CAL/OSHA specified breaks :P ) but it wouldn't work in Internet Explorer at work either.

I use Internet Explorer and I've got dial-up and I have the forum displayed in it's default format and I haven't had any trouble at all except for some of the really big pic's taking maybe as much as 45 seconds to display sometimes. Of course I don't think I've been here for the last 24 or maybe 48 hours when all this trouble was happening.
Anyway, it's fine as it has been from the start on this Saturday afternoon.

Firefox for me w no trouble, and I stay signed into many different websites (both for fun and work) and have several browsers open for days at a time. IE is a finicky beast in my experiences, but can anyone tell me what troubles they are experiencing in other browsers, along with which version of the browser and on what computer OS? If so, I MIGHT be able to help.

I tried using IE 6 WITH WINDOWS XP. As soon as I click on enter and the home page starts to load, it just goes blank and tries to reload, over and over. I have Firefox as a backup and made it in. I am just not thrilled with it.
