Hi Guys,
I finally finished my Abbott & Costello's Who's on first? piece. It stands 45cm(17 3/4 inches) tall from the table to the top of Bud Abbott's hat.I'm currently making another base so that I can put in a 200sec sound recorder to play their Who's on First? routine and I want the lanterns to light up.Let me know what you think.
Cheers
Gab

Reminds me, I saw an animated figure set of these at the card shop the other day. May go back and snag 'em. Great work on these!
Very nice job! I haven't seen this as a kit only as the animated figures.
Love It!
Magnificent! Absolutely love it!

Thanks guys.It was a lot of fun to sculpt and paint.Trying to decide what character to sculpt next.Any thoughts?
So .. Who's on first? Great stuff .. ;D
Is it just me - Or do they suddenly look a lot more like A&C when the photo is Black and White??
Wow, a true labor of love! You have to be very proud of this great achievement.
BEAUTIFUL!!
Really great work, well done!
Wow,just Wow!
Thanks for the kind comments. The next sculpture will be a monster, haven't decided which one yet.
Hey Dr. W, those look exactly like the two imbeciles that lost my exhibits! You must have had them pose for you since those figures look so incredibly realistic -- do you know how I can find them or contact them? I still want my exhibits back for my House of Horrors!!
Mr. McDougal
Mr Mcdougal,
They were last seen hawking hats from the Susquehanna hat company in Brooklyn. All their customers seem upset about the quality of these hats. They may have been up to one of their scams. No sign of Dracula or the Frankenstein Monster. Will keep looking. These two must be stopped.

Great work on the Abbott & Costello sculpt and paint work.
This piece is awesome ... well worth the wait mate.
Thanks guys.
Took me over a week to build up enough courage to send a photo of the statue to Chris Costello,Lou Costello's youngest daughter. This was her response.Made my day!!!
Gab,
Thank you for the photo of the A&C statues. You are quite talented!!
If interested, I would love to publish in our monthly A&C e-newsletter that goes out the 1st of every month. If you could send me a photo of you with the statues and write a short paragraph, including where you're from, I know the fans would enjoy. Feel free to add info about you as we'll. if you would like me to add your email to our subscriber list, send me a reply.
Thanks again Gab.

Congrats, you really deserve it brother!
Wow, that some neat feedback, get to work on that! O0
There should be more A&C merch. Scaled down, this would make an excellent Hallmark Christmas ornament. Again, I guess Universal and the families can't come to terms on licensing.

Well, at this point, it seems that Universal is at fault (all those heirs can't be that unreasonable).
While doing research on the sculpture of Abbott & Costello I found out the guys were smart enough to copyright the Who's on First? routine in the 30's or 40's.I think this is why any merchandise you see on A&C is based on the routine and not on Abbott and Costello meet Frankenstein. The families don't have to worry about Universal, they own the rights.
