I am posting this for a friend of mine He wants $2500 + shipping, but you can pick up if in Fla.
Here is what he posted at another board:
'm relisting this due to the other buyer backing out at the last minute.
This is it gang!
Its lifesize, made of thick fiberglass.
Its like a big figure kit. The seam can easily be filled in with some bondo and the arms need to be attached. Then your ready to prime and paint.
This is the ultimate in Creature collectibles.
This was sculpted by Mark Alfrey. He sculpted this to match the first film's land suit. It stands on its on, very sturdy/stable.
The attention to detail in the Creature is the most accurate to date. In fact Ben saw one of these in person and said this is exactly what the suit he wore looked like.
So if you want the best Creature from the Black Lagoon display there is, then this is it. It doesn't get any better.
I paid $3500 shipped. I'm offering to let it go for $2500 plus shipping and paypal fees, in the US. It ships in the original wood crate it came to me in from Mark. I can supply measurements to anyone thats seriously interested in buying it. Its up to the buyer to find and arrange for a freight company to come and get it. I just don't have the time to do it, due to my work schedule. It will be ready for pick up for which every company you get to do it. Again its up to the buyer to arrange it.
If you live near Port Richey, Florida you can come pick it up.
I can't lower the price at all. I need the money so i cannot accept trades.
I will give the buyer 2 weeks to pay it off if needed but that as long as i can't wait on it. Sorry to be so tight on this sell but its a Biggie.
First pic is of the actual sculpture.

Welcome to the UMA, goose!
That post was from 2008 and Patsmear hasn't been active for the last 2 years, so I wouldn't get my hopes up for an answer. You do see them on ebay, once in a while.
Mike:

But now, together, we have uncovered the dust and are breathing new life into the life-size Creature from the Black Lagoon Model Kit... no longer for sale.
I can't believe it's been almost 10 years! I can hardly remember what life was like before "looks nothing like Karloff" and "Why Texas Chainsaw Massacre sucks." Surreal.
Getting back to the original topic of this thread, the Mark Alfrey Creatures have been re-released and are currently being produced through Alvarez Wax Productions. Basic castings start at $3,500 + shipping, and come in a couple basic colors. Anyone interested can contact Mac McDermott at mcdermott.pamela(*at*)yahoo.com.

Why would Alvarez Wax Productions re-release the Alfrey Creature instead of their own Alvarez Creature?

I think it
is the Alvarez Creature that they are re-releasing.
QuoteI think it is the Alvarez Creature that they are re-releasing.
No, they have purchased the molds for the Mark Alfrey Creature, and that is the one that has recently been re-released (see below). The flyer I produced for them is at the bottom.

Strange that they are not using their own version. Makes you think...

I was misinformed! (That's my excuse and I'm stickin' to it!)
QuoteStrange that they are not using their own version. Makes you think...
I believe their regular version (I'll call it the "high five" Creature) is also available, but the Mark Alfrey version is kind of legendary.
You all were right and I was wrong. While the Mark Alfrey Creature's are being produced in conjunction with Alvarez Wax, both the molds and the castings are independent of that company. I discovered this when submitting the Aurora-like assembly instructions that go with the piece. (That's MY excuse and I'm stickin' to it). Sorry for the confusion. Mac's contact information above is still correct, however.
