Title: Aurora instruction sheets
Post by: zombiehorror on May 03, 2008, 02:35:36 AM
I plan to reconstruct my newly acquired Aurora Frankenstein, as well as any other Aurora kits I'm lucky enough to win, and wanted a copy of the instruction sheet for reference.  After much searching I finally found what I was looking for here http://www.popform.se/glowdark/ (http://www.popform.se/glowdark/), along with all the other instruction sheets!   So I thought I'd pass the link along for anyone else that may be interested in seeing the instruction sheets for reference or nostalgia.

Hey, you found it! My old links to this site went dead ages ago and I tried searching for it for a long time till I gave up and figured it was gone for good. Nice to see it isn't!

Yeah, I was pretty sure I happened across this very easily the other day but it wasn't easy to find when I actually wanted it.  Took a few hours of going over every site with even the slightest reference to Aurora Monsters and hitting many a dead link!  I just went ahead and saved all the pics on the old hard drive just in case the site disappears again!  Printed up the Frankenstein sheet this morning, prints up 7"x10 3/4" but the lettering comes out blurry.  The pic would have to be downsized quite a bit to get a good print out but it works for what I need it for.

Does anyone have NICE scans of the Superman sheet?

Best,

No, but Craig, I have fond memories of my Dad building that one and the Robin model kit with us when we were kids. He did a killer job painting it, but alas it disappeared sometime along life's way.  I also remember my Mom helping me and my brothers build the Batplane! I had the Banana Splits model kit, and she also painted the figures for that for me. I still have three of the figures, but the rest has been lost to time.

Dear Tom-

Still hoping for the earlier edition - but I'd welcome that, yes!

Thanks,

Hey Gang, I've been looking for a site like this to fill in a few missing Aurora Instruction sheets but I'm not able to right click to print any of them out. Any hints? Otherwise I'm looking for a few originals like Godzilla and the Forgotten Prisoner.

Craig, I do  have the original Superman instructions. Let me bring them into work tomorrow and use the office's new scanner and see how it works and I'll be glad to email them to you.

Much appreciated, Michael!

(One of these days, I'll finish restoring an original model, likely for the 'Bay)

Best,
-Craig W.

They've got a "no right click" code on that site. There are several way to beat that, like getting the source code and finding the jpg links in it. What I usually do is right click, then move the "OK" button over the pic I want to copy, then right click and hold it, left click and release both at the same time. Then your menu for saving/printing/etc. pops up. I find it takes two tries on this site.

Thanks for the hint, Mike, I was able to download them. Though unless I want them postage size, they're blurry any larger. I think I'll write to the guy to see if I can get them so I can print a copy at 1:1 scale.

They're not full size, but I wouldn't call them postage size. If you wanted to print them to put in the box as if they were the real thing, then they're too small.

Yes, I'd like a full 1:1 scale print out when I can get one.

Craig, I'm happy that I was able to help you out with your Superman.
